  1. Thank you so much for this CAL. It’s absolutely beautiful, and you’ve worked so hard to make everything clear. I really appreciate this.

    • Thank you so much for your kind comment! I really wanted to be inclusive with a wide range of experience able to participate – and hopefully online groups could fill in the gaps with support. I’m glad you’re enjoying it! I should have new patterns up in 2 weeks or so. 😊😊❤️

  2. My first CAL and I’m loving it! I just want to find out my blanket needs to be done by end August at the latest as it is a gift. Would it be possible for me to contact you for the rest of the squares by say June ? It is a birthday gift for my son♥♥

  3. On the first part is says you’ll have 4 chain 2 spaces, but we’re doing chain 3s right? That’s what it looks like in the diagram.

    Thanks!

    • Ah, correct! It doesn’t matter much – I’ll change it so it’s consistent, but work whichever you like better!
Thank you for pointing it out!

  4. I am LOVING this CAL! I check every single day to see if perhaps you’ve given us another square to do a little early! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. With the Melissa square, I had to eliminate round 5 because apparently I crochet big. I try not to, but I do. I think for the decorative squares I’m going to use a smaller hook. Anyway, thanks again!

    • Awesome! That’s so great you’re enjoying it 🙂 I’m on another design project at the moment, but soon I’ll have another push and add some more squares – I’m thinking by the time it’s at week 6, I’ll add the next 4 weeks of squares. Happy crafting in the meantime! 🙂 – RC

  5. Sorry but when will the following blocks of the VVCAL be released?

  6. Hi,

I was wondering if I am the only person having trouble with this…

I am a little behind with this cal, but when I was checking my emails from you, I discovered the the VVCAL posts for week 5 and 6 are saying the the page cannot be found.

Also I have not received and emails since January 25. Should this be the case?

    Regards Judith

    • Hi there! I posted a batch of weeks all at once to appease a group of crafters who had deadlines and wanted to make baby blankets quickly etc, so we are in the middle of week 5 now, and week 6 starts on Friday the 19th. So you’re right on track with the emails! The posts are up for weeks 5 and 6 – head to main CAL page for links. On Wednesday, I’ll post 2 more weeks for the folks who have been patiently awaiting more squares, then I’m going to be staying on track for the rest of the CAL. I’ve found out over time that the amount of people who want the CAL to hurry up are outweighed by the amount who want it to stay at its slower scheduled pace. So slow and steady it is! 🙂

      Thanks and happy crafting!
