Ode to Flowers: Marigold

Enjoy a small reflection on one of this week’s featured flowers.

From Florigraphy: An illustrated Guide to the Victorian Language of Flowers, by Jessica Roux, 2020:

From The Language of Flowers: The Floral Offering, a Token of Affection and Esteem, Comprising the Language and Poetry of Flowers (A Scholar Select), by Henrietta Dumont, 1851:

I highly recommend both of these books if you can get your hands on them! I found mine second-hand. They will change your perspective on flowers with their thoughtful poetry and insights.
