Joining Method: Slip Stitch through BLO

Lay out motifs to match schematic below. Center panel motifs are laid out completely randomly, including the orientation of the triangle squares. Join motifs together using one size larger hook as follows.

  1. Hold 2 motifs with right sides together, and use Yarn A.
  2. Pull Yarn A through the BLO of the corner st of both motifs, back to front, and make a ch to join the yarn on.
  3. Make ss through both BLO of the next st to the left.
  4. Make ss across all horizontal seams, cutting yarn at the end of the rows.
  5. When there are no more horizontal seams, rotate the piece, and begin crocheting all vertical seams.

Optional One-Round Blanket Border

Join Yarn A in any corner, make sc in BLO of all sts around the blanket, working only 1sc in the corners, ss in first sc, cut yarn. Alternatively, any border may be added if desired.

Blanket is complete!

Finishing

Weave all remaining ends, and block blanket if desired to open up lace.

Yay! All done! Give yourself a fist bump!
