Tiny Garden Blanket A few years back, I became obsessed with the creative endeavors of a talented and lovely lady named Jessica Wilkinson. She has since left social media, but her nature flatlays and video trips around her garden were absolutely inspiring to me. I designed five blankets inspired by her drawings, her flatlays, and her tiny porch potted plant garden. The materials for Jessica’s floral photography come from a few modest potted plants on her patio. From that tiny garden come the gorgeous and colorful flatlays that inspired this blanket. The prolonged solitary time of the pandemic had some effects on my kiddoes, and I wanted to really pour my energy into making them whole. Now we are all in a much better place, and I am even designing again! Hey, gorgeous crafter! Remember this WIP from a couple of weeks ago? I have been working on these crochet nesting baskets for a little while and have really enjoyed making something completely different from a blanket, but still a small and quick project. Also as a side note, every time I’m chugging along on a project, I’m jotting improvements in my notebook. So, I already have a few more ideas to make crochet nesting basket sets using these wooden bag bottoms. And I did get many messages asking about these bag bottoms and where to find them. I just might start selling them along with some kits for baskets once I get the design just right.

Hello, you! In my last post, I told you all about the yarn Scheepjes Colour Crafter I am using for my new Nesting Baskets Pattern, as well as those fabulous wooden bases. Well I have a few glorious WIP pics to show off and I’m super excited to show you, so read on! I love this first prototype basket already and it is messily housing some Scheepjes Softfun for another awesome project I have coming up.
