Pixel Plaid Blanket – It’s Finished!

Hello, friend! Today I wanted to share a finish with you! Each week, I have posted a little information about the yarn and the design process for my Pixel Plaid Blanket, made in Scheepjes Chunky Monkey, and now I can show you the final result! Let’s dive in!

Pixel Plaid WIP Photo

Remember last week, when I showed you my progress on this project? To prove that this is the fastest make, I was actually showing my real-time progress. Here’s what I had finished a week ago today:

And here is where I am now! Ta-da! And by the end of this post, I’ll show you the simple border I used to set this blanket off. I feel like this piece doesn’t even really need a border, but sometimes you just want to pull it all together anyway, and the border just gives it that finished look.

Pixel Plaid Blanket is Complete

The pattern for this blanket will be released next week here on my blog as a freebie, and of course a convenient PDF will be offered as well.

Pixel Plaid is a nice size for a baby shower gift, or for a couch throw. It is very cozy and would be lovely as a holiday gift! The fact that it is a quick make also makes it a perfect last-minute gift.

Shop Scheepjes Chunky Monkey

This yarn is so lush and soft, it’s a total dream. And just enough squish to be cozy, but not too much to be annoyingly floofy. It’s just perfect.

Head to WoolWarehouse or Deramores to shop Chunky Monkey through my affiliate link – this helps support my work at no extra cost to you! Or head to a Scheepjes Retailer near you.

The Pixel Plaid Blanket is worked up in join as you go panels for a fast make without any sewing or crocheting pieces together.

The border is a simple three-round pattern that is the perfect addition to any linen stitch blanket, or any crochet project that just needs a neat and nice border.

Here is the Pixel Plaid Blanket with 3-round border! The border is a simple (US Terms) SC round, then a DC eyelet round, then another SC round, but the trick is, the whole border is worked in a hook one size smaller than the main body, and this way the border does not ruffle.

Thank you for stopping in to see my FO reveal. I’ll release the free pattern for my Pixel Plaid Blanket on Wednesday of next week!

Happy crafting,

Rachele C.
