Linen Stitch Blanket Series Ebook: 5 Free Crochet Patterns, Plus Bonus Squares and more!

In May, I began a free crochet blanket series made with only Linen Stitch. Each month, for 5 months, I released a new free Linen Stitch Crochet Blanket pattern, some with multiple versions! And now, with the release of the final blanket, Chevronnie, I can show you how the patterns come together for this bundle.

As with all my bundles, there is a deep discount if you buy them – it’s buy 5 for the price of 3! So check out those listings below if you love having a convenient PDF or you just want another way to support my work! Thank you!

Etsy // Ravelry

For all of these blanket patterns, gauge doesn’t matter, and you can use any thickness of yarn and appropriate crochet hook.

PDF Version

As a bonus, I included 3 linen stitch quilt blocks when you purchase the PDF format of the blanket series on Etsy or Ravelry.

Linen Stitch Blanket Series

And here is a small taste of the six projects! Yippee!

French Braid Blanket

Mini Version

One square:

Full blanket:

Make the Mini version if:

  • You are working with small amounts of yarn, for a zero-waste project (remnants busting)
  • You want each motif to be quicker for instant gratification
  • You like the look of many motifs or want more color variety

Yarn: Stone Washed XL – Find it at WoolWarehouseDeramores, and Black Sheep Wools. (affiliates)

Mondo Version

One square:

Full blanket:

Make the Mondo version if:

  • You have larger quantities of each color
  • You want fewer ends to weave (the squares are larger so you need to make fewer of them for the same size blanket)
  • You want to make fewer motifs to reach your desired blanket size

Yarn: Scheepjes Sunkissed – Find at WoolWarehouse (affiliate)

Mega Version

Full blanket:

Another version with stripes:

Make the Mega version if:

  • You have at least 2 100g balls of each color
  • You want fewer ends to weave (the blanket is literally one huge square)
  • You don’t want to sew squares together

Yarn: Order Scheepjes Colour Crafter from WoolWarehouse * // Order Scheepjes Velvet from WoolWarehouse * (affiliates)

Chevronnie Blanket

Linen Stitch is one of the most versatile patterns in crochet, and great for a relaxing crochet session. For Chevronnie Crochet Blanket Pattern, I created a join-as-you-go chevron linen stitch panel using my PLT Join.

LissMiss Blanket

“LissMiss” is how you say LSMS Which stands for “linen stitch mitered square.” Cheesy I know, but I have had this pattern in the vault for yearsss back when my naming skills were subpar haha… I love this one! Hope you have fun with it!

Full blanket:

Yarn Scheepjes River Washed XL and Cahlista

I used 1 ball of each color of River Washed XL – 22 colors at the time of this project. All of these links are affiliate links. You can shop through them to help support CypressTextiles at no additional cost to you, or find a Scheepjes Retailer nearby.

I also used 14 balls of color 106 of Cahlista (for the white in the blanket)

Beach Hut Blanket

The Beach Hut Crochet Blanket is a definite keeper. It was inspired by the Colorful Chevrons Quilt by Christa Watson. I highly recommend looking into her work! It’s the modern quilts that inspire me to convert them to my crochet medium.

The clever no-sew construction will definitely make you happy! The piece is made by creating base triangles and layering colored chevron with simple zig-zag until your blanket is long enough. Finish off by squaring the top and you have a gorgeous, modern blanket. Any border can be substituted for the one in the pattern, but I believe the bright colors on a white background call for simplicity.

Zendoodle Blanket

Zendoodle is worked in strips from bottom edge to top edge. I give two options to construct this blanket. You can either work the first strip complete and then join all subsequent strips on as you go, or you can make all of the strips complete (separately) and then sew them together using my instructions. I provide full instruction for the join-as-you-go strips method, and then I give notes for the sewn strips method.
