Crochet Blanket Pattern: Threaded Colors Chevron

Hey, y’all!

Just wanted to drop a quick note to tell you some great news: I have decided to slowly update my older patterns in an effort to make them clearer to understand. Over time my pattern-writing skills have definitely improved! So, one by one, I’ll be making updates on my first designs. Next on my list is the Modern Patchwork Blanket!

Threaded Colors Chevron is definitely an oldie, but I think still a goodie.

Whether you decide to add the colorful chain stripes or not, this chevron blanket is a perfect and quick baby blanket, and you can make it in multicolor stripes or different shades of the same color for a nice effect. Treat this pattern like a springboard guide and you will be making it again and again.
I follow hashtags: #ThreadedColorsChevronBlanket #CypressTextiles

Notions & Sizing

US 5.5mm hook, 5mm hook for border, tapestry needle for weaving ends
Measurements Finished piece measures about 32x42in and is easily resized by using larger gauge yarn and hook, or by making more triangles.

(100% Premium Acrylic, 300m/100g)
Yarn A: 1063 Rotterdam x 5 balls
Rem yarns: small amounts of other colors – I used 19 contrasting colors

If you choose to leave off the color pops, you can use this sweet little blanket pattern as an alternative to my solid Chevron2.0 design.

If you make this blanket be sure to hashtag #cypresstextiles on social media. I’d love to see it.

Hope y’all enjoy this Threaded Colors Chevron update – If you don’t already have the pattern, now would be a great time to snag it. If you’ve purchased the pattern on Ravelry or Craftsy, it has been sent to you automatically, but if you’ve bought it on a different platform, just email me at and I’ll send you a copy after I’ve verified your purchase.

Happy crafting!
