Joy Garden Blanket: A Work in Progress

Hello, beautiful crafter! Hope you’ve managed to find some moments of peace as the months seem to fly by. February is almost over! At this point in the year, I look back to see what I have accomplished so far, and I can say I’m proud of my motivation so far to complete projects and share them with you. If you have followed me for a while, you’ll know I always say it, but during even-numbered years, I am quite manic when it comes to designing and sharing. (Odd-numbered years see me spiral down in an undertow of imposter syndrome and creative paralysis, but that’s a story for another day.) During the past few weeks, I have been utterly obsessed with this current work in progress. I am using a Scheepjes Metropolis Colour Pack (affiliate link) to make a half-hexie braided blanket that I’ve named “Joy Garden.” You can look at the yarny love post to see all the details, and check out a few more projects that you can make with the Metropolis Colour …

My Shine Bright Crochet Blanket is Finished!

Remember this WIP from December? I have been working on this blanket for a little while and have really enjoyed making this smaller and faster blanket. It’s baby blanket size at 48x48in, but will be excellent as a lap throw as well. Related Links Read all about the yarn I chose here! See more behind-the-scenes, plus choose a color combination here!

Work in Progress: Gloria Blanket

Hello, you! A couple of weeks ago I told you about a blanket that did not yet have a name, that I was working up using the Scheepjes Metropolis cutie pie colour pack. Also you should know I am sat in an airport for the next three hours (more on that later!), so this will be an excessively chatty post.. you’ve been warned lol Gloria Blanket I mentioned it in the yarn arrival post, but it bears repeating that this design has been knocking around in my mind for a few years now, and it is also one of my most requested patterns – that is, many many folks have messaged me asking when I will get a move on with this one! Side note: Another very heavily requested pattern is my upcoming Botanica Blanket CAL (#botanicablanket), and I will make an official info post on Tuesday, November 26 – or maybe …
