Hello, lovely! Today I wanted to share a finish with you! The Chevronnie Crochet Blanket in Scheepjes Chunky Monkey is an idea that I had years ago. My goal was to create a chevron linen stitch blanket that would be worked up in join as you go panels. Read on for a little throwback photo of the first rendition of what would later become the Chevronnie Blanket. The final outcome is superb! Read on to see more!
I cannot say enough about how much I love this blanket! It is the fifth in a series of Linen Stitch Blankets. Here are the others!
The Chevronnie Blanket
The pattern for this bag will be released tomorrow here on my blog as a freebie, and of course a convenient PDF will be offered as well. Look out for the whole linen stitch series, and a bonus of 3 crochet linen stitch Quilt Blocks. Only available when you buy the whole series!

Designing Chevronnie
The idea for the Chevronnie Blanket came from my deep love for linen stitch. Check out the first sample idea I had years ago. I still get giddy thinking about this design moment!
The first scraps of designy bits! This is when I was just beginning to see how I would create the chevron shape, and you can read more about the WIP at this blog post. I know it is so simple, but sometimes a simple and zen project that you can just work on in front of the television is just what the doctor ordered.

This yarn is so lush and soft, it’s a total dream. And just enough squish to be cozy, but not too much to be annoyingly floofy. It’s just perfect.
Head to WoolWarehouse or Deramores to shop Chunky Monkey through my affiliate link – this helps support my work at no extra cost to you! Or head to a Scheepjes Retailer near you.

The Chevronnie Blanket is worked up in join as you go panels, and as you can see in the photos, the second and fourth panels have wider color stripes to add visual interest.
The border is a simple three-round pattern that is the perfect addition to any linen stitch blanket, or any crochet project that needs a neat and nice border.
Thank you as always for stopping in and checking out my latest offering. I appreciate you! Your readership means the world!
