2019 Goal Planning Free Printable: What’s in store for CypressTextiles?

Hey, y’all! So I’m finally getting around to finishing up my 2019 planning post. I have some very specific goals this year, both personal and business-related. What better way to kick off the year than by sharing my goals with you all!

I’ve formatted three personal goals into a bullet list without a super rigid time frame, and then my four main business goals are split into one for each quarter. Check it out below, and keep reading to find the free printable I’ve put together for you all.

Dutch Rose Blanket – What I was working on in January 2018

Here are my 2019 business goals, and what you can plan to see, big-picture-wise for CypressTextiles this year! Of course, I’ll be doing plenty of other projects in my daily business, but these four goals are my main biggies that I want to accomplish in order to move my business forward this year.

2019 Business Goals

  • Q1: Update my website – spend time creating content with other fiber arts
  • Q2: Diversify my shop – got some funsies in store for this year!
  • Q3: Local workshops – get them built into my business
  • Q4: Craft shows – incorporate them in the Fall

If you want to know what I do with these four goals, here are the steps I take to make sure they get accomplished. First, I assign each goal to a quarter of the year. First quarter, second quarter, etc. Then I break each goal into 3 steps. What 3 steps will get me to my goal? And each of those steps gets assigned to a month in the quarter. Then from there, I split each step into 4 tasks – roughly one per week – to be sure I stay on track each month.

Do you have 4 major goals this year to accomplish? You should! The time is going to pass by either way… Might as well make sure you get stuff done while it does.

And because I totally want you to set goals in 2019, I put together this free printable for you in easy to download PDF format. Enjoy!

Growing it in 2019!

My ultimate goal for CypressTextiles this year is to diversify. When I started this business, I was creating custom blankets for folks all over the world. I have a log of everything I have ever made – over three-hundred blankets – on my portfolio site, BabyLoveBrand.net (PS, I am so behind on logging my makes!)

Over time, my business grew and evolved into the design and sale of digital products, and I left custom orders behind. Last year, I started getting more into magazine commissions, which was really fun and amazing! And this year I just want to keep on expanding my community reach with CypressTextiles to make my business even more robust. Get ready, y’all, because I am amped!

Personal Goals in 2019

I have 3 personal goals to begin this year. I’ve never started out the year with personal goals before, and it feels really good to do something for ME that isn’t business related in any way. That’s sorta my theme for the year. I want to focus on MYSELF, and yet still grow my business… I know it can be done! So here are my top three:

  • Read (or re-read) every Stephen King book in the order of its release
  • Finish 5 projects from designers that I admire
  • Start a running streak (no I can’t exactly “run” yet, but I’ll get there lol)

The Stephen King goal is just something I thought would be fun and enjoyable. I’ve read many of his books, but I got this wild thought to read them ALL and in order. Of course, with my days pretty much consumed by running a business and raising 4 munchkins, I will likely be *listening* to the books, rather than actually reading words on a page. Nothing like curling up with a good book, but audio is still fun!

I chose to make 5 designs by crafters that I admire because I NEVER make anything that’s designed by someone else. But, I learned that following someone else’s pattern is actually very endearing and makes you feel a strong connection with them. So to connect more with my crafty community, I’m going to dig into some amazing patterns!

And yes, like everyone and their dog, I have an exercise goal… Maybe it won’t be possible at first to just bust out running, but I know I’ll get there and hopefully have an amazing running streak going. Last year I tried to incorporate yoga into my routine, and I love it so very much now. So I wanted to add running to that.

And that’s it, guys! Honestly, y’all, I am so jazzed up for this year. It’s not “new year, new me”… It’s the same old me – just quietly crushing it.

Happy New Year, y’all! Love you guys!

Rachele C.
