Making Taller Stitches
To go beyond the Double Treble Crochet (US Terms) you only need to make more wraps at the start of the stitch. Use this handy list as a guide:
- Single Crochet – 0 wraps
- Double Crochet – 1 wrap
- Treble Crochet – 2 wraps
- Double Treble Crochet – 3 wraps
- Triple Treble Crochet – 4 wraps
- Double Triple Treble Crochet – 5 wraps
- And so on…
Important Note
My number one piece of advice would be this: when you make the initial wraps, be sure to tighten the wraps up toward the tip of the hook. This will help ensure that you do not have gaping holes when you are done with the stitch.
