NEW Free Crochet Pattern: Pixelated Blanket (UK Terms)

Hello, lovely crafter! Today I want to share a crochet pattern for a blanket that I made years ago. When I created this blanket in 2013, it was wildly popular on socials, but I never got around to actually writing up the pattern, since I felt it was so simple. Well, over a decade later, I decided that I would release all of the information so that anyone can make this pretty blanket. There is a lot of thought that goes into the layout of this blanket, and you will definitely enjoy the different ways you can use this pattern. Enjoy and happy crafting! PDF Format The PDF version of this pattern is available on Etsy, Ravelry, and in my online shop, and both US and UK Terms PDFs are included in the purchase. Free Crochet Pattern: Birdsong Blanket (UK Terms)

Hello, gorgeous crafter! Today I want to share a crochet pattern that is from 2017 – around the time that I thought I was going to start a crochet magazine. Then I realized just how much work it really was and slowly let go of the idea. Throughout all these years, there has only been a paid PDF version of the Birdsong Crochet Blanket Pattern, but now I want to release the free version in an effort to continually make sure all of my patterns are accessible to everyone. This pattern is one of a few that I have written which are inspired by the arts of an instagrammer named Jessica who no longer runs her account. I’ll keep her info private just because one of the reasons she left IG was for more privacy. But I was quite inspired by her works when she was posting, and she was always making magic with markers and paper. One day, she shared an illustration with me that had me pulling a palette of yarn from my …

Spring Mix Blanket: Free Crochet Pattern (UK Terms) – FO No. 4!

Hello, gorgeous crafter! Today I want to share with you my latest crochet pattern. I was playing with these blocks recently, and I made a blog post detailing the WIP on the way to making this pattern. This blanket was born from a bin of half-used Scheepjes Catona – cotton yarns in every color from sunbeam yellow to cloud pink to lilac dusk. As I sorted through the skeins, I wasn’t thinking of perfection or planning a palette. I just wanted to play. What emerged was a lively mix of brights and pastels that feels exactly like spring: soft, bold, unexpected, and full of movement. PS – This blanket is one of my 19 WIPs that I am working on finishing this year! So I will call this FO Number 4. You can check out the Main WIP -> FO Page to see all of my WIPs and FO updates. Happy crafting! PDF Format The PDF version of this pattern is available on Etsy, Ravelry, and in my online shop, and both US and UK …

This versatile blanket pattern is inspired by fabric quilts which mix patterns together to make an eye-catching piece. Free Crochet Pattern: Pink Pony Blanket (UK Terms)

Hello, gorgeous crafter! Today I want to share with you my latest crochet pattern. I wanted to create a simple and fun pattern that could tie together any color palette. This piece would be great for a stash buster, or with a planned layout, but if you use DK weight yarn or another weight thinner or thicker than Aran Weight yarn, then you will need to adjust the number of motifs that you make to achieve the same blanket size. Resizing instructions are at the end of the pattern. You’ll love this one! A note about the name, I was looking through Chappell Roan songs (currently obsessed), and thought Pink Pony Club would fit this blanket perfectly. The colors and the vintage, kitschy style of the blanket are well suited to her style I think! Then, I looked up the meaning behind the song, and it says the Pink Pony Club is a metaphor for having a safe space to exist, and I thought that was really beautiful. So Here you are! Pink Pony Blanket …

Free Crochet Pattern: Rosalind Blanket (UK Terms)

Hello lovely crafter! I can’t believe the Colour Lab CAL is already over, but there is a way to ride the wave for a little while longer. With every Scheepjes CAL there is a small bonus pattern, and today I want to share mine with you. I wrote the Rosalind Motif just for you all, and I hope you enjoy it! This motif is a great way to use up leftover remnants of your Scrumptious Kit if you got one, or just add it to your pattern collection as a freebie on me. The name comes from British chemist and X-ray crystallographer, Rosalind Franklin, whose work was central to the understanding of the molecular structures of DNA. Unfortunately, her discovery of the structure of DNA went largely unrecognized during her life, as others took credit for her works. Free Crochet Pattern: Hearts in Bloom Blanket (UK Terms)

Hello, crafter! This month, I am focusing on Phase 1 of the Artist’s Journey, and the importance of imitation when just starting out in your craft. You can read all about that in Episode 2 of Creative Clarity. I shared a bit about my first phase of designing in that post, but in 2014 while I was still in the beginning stages of crochet design, I saw a heart mandala that I fell in love with and wanted to turn into a blanket motif. I reached out to the designer, Crochet Millan, and asked if I could add on additional rounds to her design, and create a quarter motif and a half motif to make a full blanket. She gave me permission, and I made the additions a freebie on my website. Hearts in Bloom For the accompanying crochet pattern to this month’s Creative Clarity episode, I decided to revisit that pattern, but the original mandala is no longer available as a design online anywhere. This was indeed almost a decade ago! So my updated …
