The humble granny square. I’ve often said it is the mashed potatoes and gravy of the crochet world. It’s the ultimate comfort crochet, and there are a zillion ways out there to make it. Here’s just one of the ways that I make mine.

  1. Question: Using the 4.5mm hook my squares are about 5.5 inches – should I bump up my needle size to 5mm ?

    • You can use the hook that you feel most comfortable with for your yarn – and then just make sure all your squares are the same size as your plain granny squares πŸ™‚ The actual size of the square does not matter. Just that they’re all the same. πŸ‘πŸ»
