The Seaglass Blanket develops

When I bought this eye-pleasing palette of KnitPicks Brava Sport* years ago, I knew it was destined to become something unique and beautiful.

See my full review of this yarn here.

I took the photo above in an attempt to capture the striking color combo, but the original inspiration pics definitely do it better.

Some seriously inspiring Better Homes and Gardens pages – I could thumb through the decorating photos section of their website all day long.

And I’m forever drooling over quilts on Instagram – peep these screenshots of a couple Maureen Cracknell creations – heart eyes!! Go check out her IG feed now… she’s a genius!

My middle daughter got a new dress a while back, and well I see a blanket everywhere I look πŸ™‚

That dress inspired Desert Bloom! Teal, coral, olive, mint, lussshhhhh.

My Trellis and Chevron pattern features these colors as well.

It’s not out of my system yet either… So I bring you (drumroll please!) the Seaglass Blanket. It’s still in the development stage as I work through the pattern with utterly gorgeous CT Tester Tribe member, Kaelyn of iiirdwind (Third Wind). She is helping me work out the kinks of the pattern verbiage and formatting so I can share it with you all.

Here are two delicious photos that Kaelyn has shared with me of her progress with the lovely yarn at the beginning of this post.

It looks like a group of big, plain granny squares right now… and it is. But it will become so much more. A few colors aren’t even present yet! I can’t wait to share the surprise layout, and you know I have a love of mixing and matching design in my patterns… Don’t expect this to be a granny square blanket!

So watch this space. The next time I show off Seaglass, it will be to share the design’s  “origin story” with you all. Exciting!! 😊❀️
